The Department of Health has adopted the following standards in development of the PBS XML Schema, based on international and web standards:
XML, RELAX NG and XML Schemas (for structure and data types)
XLink and xml:id
Simplified DocBook v5.0
Dublin Core
RDF, OWL and SKOS
The PBS XML version 3 schema imports DocBook and other W3C schemas, such as XLink, RDF and SKOS.
