XML Namespaces

PBS XML Schema Version 3.1.9

The PBS XML schema uses namespaces built on W3C and Web XML standards. The following namespaces are defined:

ext	http://extension.schema.pbs.gov.au/	The PBS Extension namespace is used to:handle minor changes (resulting in a minor release of the PBS XML schema e.g. 3.1, 3.2, 3.3 etc) by introducing new information into the PBS XML documents as the PBS XML schema does not allow for changes directly; and,manage forward and backward compatibility.When there is a major release of the PBS XML schema e.g. 4.0, the PBS namespace will contain all current EXT elements.
db	http://docbook.org/ns/docbook/	The docbook prefix is used for the Docbook schema.
dc	http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/	The Dublin Core (DC) prefix provides guidelines for people implementing Dublin Core metadata applications using XML.
dct	http://purl.org/dc/terms/	The terms prefix refers to dcterms and is component of Dublin Core defined in the dcterms rng file.
owl	http://www.w3c.org/2002/07/owl#	The Web Ontology Language prefix provides knowledge representation for authoring of ontologies.
skos	http://www.w3c.org/2004/02/skos/core#	The Simple Knowledge Organization System (SKOS) prefix is a structured controlled vocabulary.
svg	http://www.w3c.org/2000/svg	The Scalable Vector Graphics (SVG) prefix is an XML-based vector image format for two-dimensional graphics with support for interactivity and animation.
